Elizabeth "Liz" Winiarksi

Deputy General Counsel

Liz Winiarski joined LAZ Parking as Deputy General Counsel in 2020 after enjoying many years in private practice. As a seasoned litigator, Liz has learned to see the forest through the trees; she knows what facts matter and how stories get spun, when to triage and when to escalate, and how to achieve positive outcomes. She draws on this experience to represent LAZ Parking in response to alleged claims, as well as partner with outside counsel to effectively resolve complex matters and litigation. Liz has a particular expertise in providing a wide range of counseling and litigation services in the areas of labor and employment, commercial and professional liability, and data privacy. In her role as Deputy General Counsel, Liz provides counsel on all legal matters for the company, including risk management, contract negotiation, and compliance with COVID-19 laws and guidance.

Liz graduated from Boston College with her Bachelor of Arts and from Loyola University Chicago School of Law with her Juris Doctor. As a longtime member of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois (WBAI), she has served as co-chair of the In-House Counsel Committee since 2015, and on the Board as a Director (2014-2017), Financial Secretary (2018-2019), and the inaugural Secretary of Membership (2019-2020). Since 2017, Liz has served on the Alumni Board of Governors for Loyola University Chicago School of Law and currently serves on the Executive Committee. Liz is admitted to the bar in Illinois and Connecticut.

Liz is grateful for the opportunity to work with so many different members of the LAZ Family and provide advice and counsel on such a wide variety of legal matters. When she is not at work, Liz can be found enjoying food, travel, and spending time with family and friends.
